2. A quick beach clean up - Free

If you’re staying by the seaside for your hen in a place like Brighton or Bournemouth, this is the perfect free activity - stay with me. Get everyone in the fresh air to blow away last night’s cobwebs, enjoy the seafront (that’s why you came, right?), and leave the place you’re visiting with more than you came with.

A beach cleanup can be as short as 5 minutes or as long as you like if you’re having fun! There are charities like the Marine Conservation Society or The 2 Minute Foundation who can help you organise your beach clean and give you equipment to help with the collection.

Or, just get your toes on the sand for a stroll and pick up litter you see along the way - it’s as simple as that and you’ll have made a hugh, positive impact on your hen!

3. Easy gardening with The Crop Club - from £5pp

If your bride loves nature and gardening, The Crop Club growing kits are perfect to create an easy, mindful activity at your hen house or at home.

You may hear the word ‘volunteering’ and think that sounds serious, but it’s far from it! There are lots of charities that need help doing things that are easy and fun for a group and keeps everyone busy for a few hours without a price tag.

The best part about volunteering together is the strong sense of community and connection you build amongst your hen party. It’s proven that volunteering improves wellbeing and doing something good for others resonates so strongly with everyone together.

5. Design cards to send cheerful post - Free

If you’re a creative bunch, this free and simple activity is wonderful to do together at home for a couple of hours. The charity Post Pals encourages people to send cheerful post to seriously ill children and their siblings to brighten their days.

All you have to do is buy some postcards or get some card and craft materials together to design your own and send them to the children you find listed on the Post Pals website.

Put out a pot of tea and some lovely cakes and you’ve got yourself a gorgeous, positive afternoon for almost nothing… that’ll make other people smile!
