Oxfam is a global movement of millions of people who share the belief that, in a world rich in resources, poverty isn't inevitable. You can create a unique, low-cost hen party activity by volunteering in an Oxfam shop and give your hens an afternoon to really remember, while giving back to charity and doing your part to combat poverty.
How your hen party can volunteer with Oxfam
Oxfam would love to welcome your hen party to spend a few hours volunteering in their shops. With nearly 600 shops, a Superstore in Oxford, and two Online Hubs (in Milton Keynes and Batley, near Leeds) there’s an Oxfam location near to your hen do, whether you’re a group of five or of twenty!
Oxfam shops are run by volunteers, who are empowered to take ownership, get creative, and make each shop special. Your hens could be helping with anything including; dressing shop windows, tidying the shop, working on the till and sorting through new donations. Or, if you volunteer at an online hub you could be sorting, valuing and pricing donated stock or researching and listing stock online for the Oxfam Online Shop.

Donate to Oxfam
If you plan a clothes swap at your hen party, Hens with Heart works in aid of Oxfam to make sure your swap goes the whole way in being sustainable. We encourage you to donate any leftover, unswapped items to your nearest Oxfam store.

Don’t forget to donate any hen party props and accessories when you’re done with them!
