About Fix Up, Look Sharp!
Fix Up, Look Sharp! is hosted by Hélène; a crafty, creative workshop leader who can share with your hens an eclectic and unusual variety of sustainable crafts for a hen party activity they’ll love! She’s been running workshops at St Margaret’s House & The Create Place in Bethnal Green since 2021.
As an artist, Hélène can offer variety of unusual crafting methods including collage & jewellery, headdresses, paper wigs, upcycling clothes, sunglasses and No-Sew Kimonos. She’s had several exhibitions of her work, including at Hackney Museum in 2022 where she exhibited her Super-Visors made during the pandemic, and a recent one in the café Gallery at St Margaret’s House.
Hélène tries to source her resources and materials for the workshops as sustainably as possible, using recycled materials as much as she can. For jewellery and collage you’ll use old books, vintage images and second hand materials, or for the No-Sew Kimono Workshop using single duvet covers found in charity shops or brought from home.

What workshops are offered?
No-Sew Kimono
This is a super sustainable, zero-waste craft activity that’s a failsafe success for everyone - no sewing skills required! Bring a single duvet cover from home that you no longer use, or find one in a charity shop and you’ll turn it into a Kimono using just scissors and glue in a couple of hours! This is a great activity to do at home or in your hen party house as it’s practically mess free and doesn’t require a lot of extra resources.
Wilt-Free Headdresses
Use found materials, second hand accessories and flowers to create gorgeous hen party headdresses that won’t wilt after the weekend! Hélène will guide you through this super fun workshop and all your hens will leave with a fabulous headpiece to dance the night away in.
Collage & Mixed-Media Jewellery & Artwork
Create jewellery or artwork using imagery from old books and magazines, and other second-hand or found objects. A great activity for a Bride and her hens who love to get hands on, crafty and leave with some fun new accessories to wear on their hen weekend and beyond!

Workshops can also be held in some venues around London, or in your home/ hen party house in London and the surrounding areas. Location can be discussed when booking the activity.
Cost
Cost depends on the workshop, location and group size, but can be from £20 per head.
