Helping children with their reading makes a huge difference to their life now and in the future so your hen party could make a huge, lasting impression on a child’s life by supporting charities that help children practice the reading or give them access to the materials they need.
With just a little time or a small donation, your hen you can make a huge difference to the life and future of someone else.
How your hen party can help children learn to read
There’s a few ways you can help children through charities that support their access to quality reading. Ways that you and your hens can help are:
Donate to a charity that supports children’s reading, as part of the hen party budget - it can help them buy books for children, or go towards other running costs of the charity.
Do a collection of children’s books at your hen to donate a charity. This could be old books from your own children that you’re ready to pass on, or asking each person to buy a childrens book for the collection, and donate them together. This sort of crowd-sourced donating can cost so little in the scope of your hen do, and make such a difference to others.
Volunteer your time as a hen party to help children practice their reading. This one is tricker to do together as a group, but could be a really meaningful thing to pledge to do together off the back of the hen party, knowing you’re all giving a small amount of time to make a difference.
