Silver Sixpence in her Shoe
Make sustainable headpieces & fascinators in Manchester
About Silver Sixpence in her Shoe
Silver Sixpence in her Shoe is a woman-owned bridal business, founded by Nicola. She designs and makes by hand beautiful, vintage-inspired bespoke headwear and accessories at her studio in Manchester for bride and bridal party.
For your hen party Silver Sixpence in her Shoe offers bespoke craft workshops where you’ll be guided to make your own headband or fascinator in her elegant, vintage style. These are the perfect accessories to wear to attend the wedding of your bride and for other special occasions.

What makes these workshops sustainable?
Silver Sixpence in her Shoe started on the basis of using vintage items and upcycling from other bridal accessories. Materials are sourced from vintage shops to find jewels and lace to use in her designs, and even recycled from bridal veils.
Other materials come from sustainable suppliers like ribbons make from plastic bottles, and horseshoes are bought from a British farrier and cleaned by hand!
At a hen party workshop you’ll be using upcycled materials and repurposed jewellery to create your own one-off headpiece, and you’ll be supporting a small business while you do it.
