Farm to Table Hen Party

Get into nature and spend a few mindful hours together on your hen in a community garden at Paradise Cooperative in Wandsworth, South East London.
Once you’ve helped in the garden, you’ll go to a nearby pizzeria for lunch where you’ll eat produce directly supplied by Paradise for a real farm-to-table experience!
Paradise Cooperative is a charity working to connect their local community with nature, and each other, through sustainable urban growing. By doing a hen party activity with them, you’ll actually be volunteering to support their Community Food Program that provides vital connection and access to nature for those who need it most.
You’ll arrive for coffee / herbal tea from the garden and banana bread, enjoy a tour of the garden, and your briefing.
Then you’ll contribute to their Community Food Programme through tasks that can vary depending on the season and needs of the garden. Typical examples include:
Weeding / wood chipping
Sowing seeds and planting bulbs
Turning compost
Harvesting
Painting
Habitat maintenance
You’ll also do an activity that varies depending on the time of year, and is bespoke to suit the skills and interests of your group. Some examples include:
Making seed bombs
Print making
Willow weaving
You will be able to select an activity ahead of your hen party.
You’ll end the activity with s’mores cooked over the campfire, with time to reflect on your achievements and take photos.
A reservation will be made for you at a nearby pizzeria, where you’ll eat produce supplied by the garden.
You can supplement the booking with a pizza making party for an additional £35pp.
